We are currently seeking Cleaning & Laundry Service Assistants to join our team at Costa House in Lara, Victoria. Multiple casual positions are available for those interested in making a valuable contribution.

The Roles:
The Cleaning Services Assistant is responsible to provide cleaning services which contribute to a safe, clean and home like living environment for residents and staff. The Laundry Services Assistant is responsible for the provision of Laundry Services in accordance with infection control and laundry practice standards.
Key Duties:
- Ensure all resident personal clothing and laundry items are labeled.
- Safely transport and handles soiled linen in accordance with infection control requirements.
- Provide cleaning services according to established cleaning schedules.
- Mopping, vacuuming and polishing floors, shampooing of carpets, damp dusting, waste management and restocking of supplies.
- Launders linen and resident personal clothing according to policies and procedures.
- Safe storage and use of laundry agents including correct cleaning agents used in correct quantities for each task.
- Ensure correct storage and rotation of clean linen, and safe storage and use of cleaning agents including correct cleaning agents used in correct quantities for each task.
- Inspect and identify linen items for replacement.
- Participate in the Infection Control Program.
- Any other task not defined but within the employees skills, as directed by the organisation.
Requirements
Essential:
- Experience in laundry practices.
- Training or experience in cleaning.
- Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
- Experience in residential aged care.
- Knowledge and experience in chemical handling.
