This is a permanent, full time vacancy.

This position is required to work 10 hour shifts Monday to Thursday.

Currently, there is 1 permanent position available for immediate filling.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Albany Regional Prison is a maximum-security facility for males and is located 400km south of Perth. It is the only maximum-security facility located outside of the Perth metropolitan area.

The Cleaning Officer operates facility cleaning services to support prison operations. The position provides on the job instruction and supervision to prisoners who work in this area, undertakes appropriate forensic cleaning operations and maintains stock of cleaning materials, including purchasing and the distribution of cleaning and hygiene products.

We require you to submit:

  1. A current comprehensive CV including the contact details of two (2) referees and;
  2. A statement no more than two (2) pages, addressing the two (2) following job related requirements.
    Please provide examples to support your claims.
    • Cleaning operations – Demonstrated experience in commercial cleaning, stock control and equipment maintenance. An understanding and ability to comply with WHS regulations and demonstrate specific forensic cleaning procedures.
    • Computer skills – An understanding of computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases, document writing and emails. The ability to learn in-house computer systems.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Possess a current valid manual class “C” motor vehicle driving licence.
  • Possess a current valid Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) accreditation (or equivalent eg Senior First Aid) received from an accredited training provider with a minimum of 12 months validity remaining.

Subsequent Vacancies
