About the role:
As the Governance Officer you will prepare Council business papers – including agendas and minutes - minute the proceedings of Council and Committees and manage the City’s meeting processes ensuring compliance with relevant internal protocols and statutory requirements. You will provide efficient and confidential administrative support to Council and the Governance Department.
Other duties include:
- Prepare and publish Agendas, Council/committee business papers, Minutes for Meetings of Council including Ordinary and Special Council Meetings, Standing Committees and other briefing forums as required.
- Ensure all preparatory work for relevant meetings meet the required standards.
- Attend and take minutes at all Council, Committee meetings and other forums / workshops.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have relevant administrative experience at an equivalent level, including agenda preparation, minute taking, provision of administrative support to a Council and/or committees together with your proven ability to effectively prioritise tasks to meet strict deadlines, apply attention to detail allowing completion of tasks to a high level of accuracy and work well in a high performing team. DocAssembler experience would be highly regarded.
