We have an exciting position for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our team and play a crucial part in the team’s success.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this responsible for overseeing and supervising all cleaning operations ensuring it is safe and timely. The position will commence work late in the afternoon managing all cleaning requirements across the site.
Responsibilities will include:
- Liaise with Production, QC/QA and cleaning team to ensure cleaning requirements are met and complete cleaning schedules and records as per QA requirements.
- Liaise with the inventory/procurement/QA teams to ensure adequate supply of cleaning products and appropriate equipment is available to undertake all cleaning tasks in a safe manner
- Provide regular feedback and discussions to Operations/Production team for efficient and effective plant cleaning and equipment availability.
- Manage any issues with cleaning staff, equipment, and ensure the cleaning team is well trained on cleaning SOPs and safety requirements. Update SOPs as required.
- Ensure all machinery and equipment is cleaned in a timely manner, correctly and safely.
- Supervise and train staff in cleaning team operations.
- Oversee/supervise the safe use of cleaning equipment and materials and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Communicate any faulty equipment and packing line issues to the Head Engineer or Operations Manager
- Ensure all lights are turned off, all doors secured, alarm is set, and gates locked at end of shifts as required.
- Oversee the use and processes of cleaning chemical application used around the plant and complete cleaning records daily.
- Maintain chemical stock levels. Liaise with the Production Manager regarding chemical usage.
- Manage the recycling of chemical drums.
Skills and Experience
- Ability to follow WHS standards for cleaning machinery
- Demonstrated experience within a similar role
- Ability to meet deadlines without compromising close attention to detail and accuracy
- Well-developed work planning and organisation skills, and demonstrated ability to address fluctuating work demands and changing priorities
- Strong work ethic with a focus on results, willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities over time
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skill with a demonstrated ability to communicate and liaise effectively with suppliers and staff.
