This is a Pool process with permanent and/or fixed term, full time and/or part time opportunities.

Currently, there are two vacancies available for immediate filling.

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity to undertake a challenging and rewarding role in metropolitan Youth Justice Services as a Clerical Officer. This role involves providing clerical and administrative support and contributes as a vital part of the Team.

Reporting to the Administration Officer, the Clerical Officer provides clerical support to the business unit, ensuring that approved administrative processes are adhered to.

  • Attends to reception duties; word processing; data input and using excel spreadsheets to maintain smooth day to day operations.
  • Prioritises incoming information and correspondence and directs it to the appropriate Senior Youth Justice Officer within the branch.
  • Maintains accurate and effective correspondence, filing and other office database records to ensure issues are actioned and completed in a timely manner.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you must have the ability to communicate and influence effectively, build productive relationships with clients and fellow team members, demonstrate a commitment to the Departments Code of Conduct and achieve effective results by seeing tasks through to their completion.

All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check.

Pool Recruitment

This pool will be open for a period of 24 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, fixed term, full time and part time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.

The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies at similar locations, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.

ELIGIBILITY
