About the Role:
Must be available to work Monday to Sunday shifts across two sites - Glengarry Private Hospital and Attadale Private Hospital.
In the role of Patient Administration Officer, your primary responsibility will be to deliver a comprehensive and customer-focused service across all Front Office functions, with a particular emphasis on administrative tasks related admissions.
Your duties will encompass but are not restricted to:
- Patient admissions
- Processing all booking requests from VMOs or patients and reviewing theatre lists as needed.
- Thoroughly checking all received paperwork and initiating follow-up actions as necessary, ensuring patients possess the appropriate level of health fund coverage.
- Proactively reaching out to patients to schedule appointments in a timely manner.
- Processing admissions accurately in the relevant system, such a Meditech.
- Ensuring the successful implementation and consistent adherence to standard policies, processes and documentation within the Revenue Cycle.

- Expanded Medical Terminology Knowledge: A deeper understanding is always an advantage.
- Health Insurance Criteria Awareness: Knowledge of various health insurance criteria is a plus.
- Meditech System Familiarity: Being acquainted with Meditech would be an advantage.
Remuneration: On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $32.83 - $36.59 plus casual loading + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances
