ABOUT THE ROLE
The organisation currently has one position available for the role of a Client Service Officer.
The role entails the following:
- Early morning starts, comprises of breakfast/ lunch assistance including medication administration and providing day-to-day personal care services to the participants.
- Role also includes afternoon/support night shifts which consists of dinner assistance including medication administration and assisting with in-house facility tasks.
- Cook’s role – the facility has a kitchen onsite where daily meals are prepared for the participants. Candidates with previous kitchen/cook experience have a higher advantage of becoming a potential employee with the organisation. Please share any necessary information if you have any relevant experience.
- Passive sleep over shift which are shared amongst staff members will also need to be conducted by applicants who are applying for proposed employment.
The role will be offered on casual employment with a view of providing permanent part-time in the near future.
Sunnydale Supportive Care is a supported residential facility that provides 24-hour in home care to mental health, disability and aged participants. The employee will be assisting the clients and providing the best care possible to live a full and meaning full life.
The responsibilities for the role will include the following:
- Providing daily support with personal care services.
- Facilitating additional daily tasks like personal hygiene and dressing tasks.
- Performing home-based tasks such as food preparation and serving.
- Being competent in providing daily client medications (Having a current medication certificate)
- Note taking, recording and maintaining accurate client documentation. (Being open to learn new tasks in regards to organisation's documentation and administration requirements)
- Conducting afternoon/support night shifts and passive sleep over shifts.
ABOUT YOU
The organisation is looking for staff members who are willing to work under the provided directions, who are caring, empathetic, good comminutors along with the commitment to fulfil all organisational roles and responsibilities.
We are looking for employees who have the following qualities:
- Minimum 1-2 years working experience within the mental health, disability and age care sector.
- Flexibility with the available working hours (day and night work -passive sleep over shifts)
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Having the capability to document important client notes, incidentals and reporting them to the manager.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs and other computer record keeping systems.
- Strong time management ability and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict-management skills.
- Having the flexibility to conduct support night-afternoon shifts, additionally being able to commit to passive sleep over shifts.
