About Us
Orange Local Aboriginal Land Council is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation with the objective and commitment to securing a better future for Aboriginal people in the Orange area. OLALC does this by advocating for the restoration of culturally significant and commercially viable land, pursuing cultural, social, and economic independence for its people, and being politically proactive and vocal about issues affecting Aboriginal people in the area. The OLALC delivers several programs to the community within the LALC boundaries.
Wattle Tree House Homelessness Support Service Bathurst is proud to provide a range of homelessness services specific to adults and families, including accompanying children. This includes accommodation assistance, case management services, advocacy, limited financial assistance, as well as connection and referral to other specialist services.
Wattle Tree House is seeking a new Client Service Officer.
About You
- Experience working directly with complex or vulnerable clients within the community preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage your own work. Including working both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Client service skills with an empathic approach to clients
- A strong commitment to customer service and client-centred decisions
- Experience providing services to clients with complex support needs in a high work volume environment
- The ability to adapt communication styles and Client Service delivery to suit different situations
- Demonstrated ability to function with sensitivity and resilience in response to the needs of a variety of individuals and groups
- Ability to project a calm approach and optimism regardless of the situation, including client crises and significant change events
- Demonstrate highly developed reasoning abilities and sound judgement in response to client events
- Cert III in Community Services or above or 2 plus years' experience within the Community Services Sector desirable
