The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Assistant (Medical Imaging) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide assistance to Radiography staff for preparation and direction of patients undergoing imaging examinations
- Perform or assist with patient manual handling duties including escorting of patients to and from examination rooms and assisting with patient transport and transfers, lifting and turning patients as required
- Either face-to-face or via phone, liaise with clients requesting Medical Imaging examinations, about the patient flow through the imaging area or imaging examination preparation requirements
- Organise under guidance, patient, room and equipment ‘set-ups' for non-invasive imaging examinations
- Enter data into MID required IT modules including, but not limited to, the scheduling of patients, registering patients and completion of exam management statistics
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Require a Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualification, or equivalent (with relevancy to Clinical Assistant)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $66 478 - $69 885 per annum

The Medical Imaging delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. The service provides a Level 6 Medical Imaging service at Southport and a Level 4 service at Robina.
