Queensland Voluntary Assisted Dying Support and Pharmacy Service (QVAD SPS) are looking for Clinical Nurses (Clinical Research) to join their team. Metro South Health hosts the QVAD SPS on behalf of Queensland Health. Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) gives eligible people diagnosed with a life-limiting condition, who are suffering intolerably and dying, an additional end-of-life choice by allowing them to choose the timing and circumstances of their death. The statewide QVAD Support and Pharmacy Service conducts a range of activities to ensure compassionate care is provided to Queenslanders wishing to access VAD.

About the Role
The Clinical Nurse (Clinical Research) role provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning, and coordination skills in the research management of voluntary assisted dying patients/residents/clients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met.
The primary purpose of this role is to assist Queensland Voluntary Assisted Dying (QVAD) Support and Pharmacy team with the Queensland-wide exploration of family members' and carers' experiences when a patient accesses voluntary assisted dying (VAD) research project.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- participant recruitment and consent
- practical support for the principal investigators and project team
- supporting data collection
- maintaining research records and databases
- adhering to project requirements as per study protocol and other supporting documents
- supporting clinical research staff and strong collaboration with all personnel within QVAD Support and Pharmacy Service (SPS) and its stakeholders.
