We currently have a great opportunity for experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic Clinical Coder on a casual basis either working remotely or a hybrid model. Our Hospitals support a diverse range of specialties including Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology, General & Colorectal Surgery, Dermatology, MOHs, Breast and Endocrine Surgery and Plastic Surgery.
We have locations around Australia, and whilst this position is working remotely will work closely with our Brisbane and Western Australia support offices.

About the Role:
This role may work primarily remotely or a hybrid model and will support all aspects of clinical coding, medical record management and related activities and will focus on providing:
- Efficient and accurate assignment of ICD codes for patient discharges, using the relevant version of ICD / ARDRG
- Maintain high coding standards and coding completion within set time frames
- Participate in ongoing coding education
- Completion of internal coding audits within set timeframe
- Have a thorough knowledge of and ability to appropriately adhere to coding practices and standards including publications generated from NCCH
- Ability to accurately and efficiently input and extract patient information using Patient Management System
