Requisition ID: REQ481127The Sutherland Hospital Nutrition and Dietetics Department is seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Dietitians to join our team in multiple temporary positions until April 2025. This recruitment action will also be used to create an eligibility list for future available roles.Sutherland Hospital is a 375-bed major metropolitan hospital and teaching hospital. The Sutherland Hospital campus offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and community services to Sutherland Shire residents, including surgical, medical, emergency, maternity, child, youth and family, critical care, aged care, rehabilitation, mental health and community-based services.Sutherland Hospital also provides an increasing role in education and provides an opportunity for health and medical researchers to conduct research that will directly service the needs of patients.The vision for South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is ‘exceptional care, healthier lives’. SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.These roles will plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within Nutrition and Dietetics in order to provide high quality Dietetic care to patients consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All workers and new recruits are required to receive 2 doses of a Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccine to commence employment/ engagement or continue to work within a NSW Health service.
A worker and new recruit will be considered compliant if they have a medical contraindication to all available Therapeutic Goods Administration approved or recognised COVID-19 vaccines and provide medical contraindication evidence in line with the policy requirements.
In addition, all Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza or COVID-19 vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

• Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award
• Recent and relevant experience in a comparable acute hospital setting
• Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters commensurate with years of experience
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and the application of evidence based practice
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning
