About the Company

Our client is a well-established NDIS registered Allied Health business in North Queensland. They are committed to serving people regardless of the barriers in their lives; every person matters. They currently provide Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support and Psychology services to paediatric and adult clients. 

About the Role

The role is to provide high quality, financially responsible and effective clinical services to benefit the clients of our organisation directly or indirectly across multiple clinics in North Queensland and a telehealth platform.

The Clinical Director will work within the strategic framework of the company to deliver sound growth through expansion of the team and becoming an employer of choice while also working with our Quality of Care Board to deliver quality services to the expanding client base.                                                                  

This role is a pivotal part of the organisation and will report directly to the Managing Director and Board.  We are seeking a high performing, energetic, innovative and progressive thinker with exceptional leadership skills.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Own and manage the clinical team ensuring appropriately skilled team members are available across all modalities and all locations to meet our client needs. 
  • Grow the referral base and customer markets through engagement, promotion, and strategic partnerships. 
  • Work with the Compliance Manager to ensure the appropriate risk, compliance, and governance structures and processes are in place and operating effectively. 
  • Work directly with the clinical team members in relation to their day-to-day processes and practices, ensuring professional development and supervision. 
  • Ensure financial responsibility of the clinical team and build a culture of respect and value to all including a mutual obligation between the company and the team members.
  • Report to the Managing Director and Board in relation to ongoing development of the Strategic needs and Roadmap planning.
  • Responsible for the budget in relation to both incoming revenue and outgoing cost base of the clinical team. 
  • Deliver and live the values of the company and bring positivity to everything we do. 
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure the clinical team are empowered to deliver the best of themselves. 
  • Lead and guide the resource requirements and ensure the balance across the clinics is best practice for the organisation. 
  • To communicate with all stakeholders required to undertake the role. 
Qualifications

Essential 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant allied therapeutic modality. 
  • Executive development and leadership courses.

Desirable

  • An Health management, Commerce or Leadership qualifications. 
Work experience

Essential experience

  • Minimum 2 years executive management experience.
  • Minimum 5 years clinical experience in a relevant modality. 
  • Experience working with NDIS participants and support coordinators.

  • Interpersonal skills: Ability to form good relationships with other leaders in the company and get significant input from the organisation to push strategic decisions and direction. 
  • Analytical skills: Ability to evaluate the success of the company in reaching its goings and setting measurable strategic goals. 
  • Leadership skills: Ability to demonstrate the leadership necessary to make the company’s mission a success. This includes providing vision, direction, attracting followers, and all other aspects of successful leadership. 
  • Management skills: Ability to create a culture of learning to help enhance and grow the skills and abilities of employee and in turn allow the business to grow and succeed.
