The Role:We are seeking a
Clinical Director of Paediatrics to take on a senior leadership role for the paediatric department, operationally reporting through the Acute Health Division and professionally reporting to the Chief Medical Officer. The responsibilities of the role are to provide leadership and management to the paediatric team, including service delivery, clinical governance, service planning, people management, regional leadership, education, research. The role will be required to continue the development of and lead a highly productive and cohesive team.The

You will lead, inspire, and foster excellence in clinical outcomes, scholarship, and staff development. This role is responsible for staff across multiple streams including the education and supervision of trainees, students, and staff.Total remuneration value of up to or $499,806 p.aPaediatrics is accredited for RACP Training and is involved in education and research.Paediatric Services includes 16 bed General Paediatric Ward, the 8-12 cot Special care nursery from 32 weeks.Leadership and Management

- Leadership with proven ability to exercise sound judgment in professional standards, ethics and a

The Hospital:The Hospital is a 305-bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. Medical services include Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Cancer Services, Cardiology, Renal, Palliative Care, Mental Health, Rehabilitation, Geriatric Medicine, Oral Health, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Intensive Care and Anaesthesia. There are a range of clinical services provided on a visiting basis from tertiary hospitals in Queensland. The CancerCare Unit provides care for local patients, with state-of-the-art equipment and services.

A region experiencing rapid economic and investment growth following record levels of investment from the resources sector.Mandatory qualification:Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Paediatrics with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA). This will require Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).Total remuneration value of up to or $499,806 p.a. (L27) or $460,134 p.a. (L24) is comprised of;A salary between $225,777 - $239,377 p.a. (L25 - L27)A salary between $188,800 - $219,301 p.a.
