Job description

Clinical Lead - Education and Support

Permanent, Part Time - North West Regional Hospital

You’ve invested in yourself so that you can make a bigger impact in your career; helping to advance the Occupational Therapy profession and improve the lives of patients. And you could put this skillset into practise anywhere. What’s different about Tasmania is our culture and our lifestyle. You will have a powerful connection to the staff and patients, and the community will encourage your success. Our isolation helps drive a culture of invention and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing. Here you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breath-taking coastlines, National Parks or award-winning restaurants or bars. After a hard day at work, you don’t have to sit in a car for an hour. You can get on your bike or put on your boots and “tell it to the mountain”.

The role:

We are seeking motivated applicants to work as part of the Occupational Therapy leadership teams to inspire and grow the next generation.

You will promote a positive learning organisation culture through coordinating student placements that offer exceptional learning opportunities and experiences across a range of areas of practice and different practice settings. You will also collaborate with other clinicians in the team to support new graduates during their early career years.

As part of the leadership team, you will make a significant contribution towards the Department of Health’s strategic priority to build and develop a sustainable and positive workforce that we need now and for the future by partnering with the University of Tasmania’s Allied Health Expansion Program to support the roll out of new graduate entry Masters programs for Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Pathology.
