The Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation provides Aboriginal Medical Services in Quirindi, Coledale (Tamworth) and surrounding localities. We are a multi-disciplinary service working with and within our communities to provide high standards of care.

We are keen to employ a Registered Nurse with at least 4+ years practical nursing experience (post-grad).
What we are looking for:
- Degree qualifications in Nursing with potentially post-grad qualifications combined with several years practical experience.
- Experience leading others in nursing / clinical settings.
- Working with Children Check – must be supplied prior to commencing employment with updates provided during the period of employment.
- NSW Police History Check – must be supplied prior to commencing employment with updates provided during the period of employment.
- Covid Vaccination – must be supplied prior to commencing employment with updates provided during the period of employment.
- Degree in Nursing, combined with practical experience .
- An understanding of Medicare Items numbers (MBS items)
- An understanding of chronic disease in general practice and the associated patient management plans (desirable)
- Willingness to engage and work effectively with Aboriginal communities.
- Capacity to identify opportunities for extending or improving program service delivery.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills in all forms for all purposes
- Effective time management and personal organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, working with GPs, nurses and admin staff in a constructive manner.
- First Aid or willingness to obtain – must be supplied prior to commencing employment with updates provided during the period of employment.
- Experience working within and Aboriginal Medical Service or a General Practice environment (desirable)
- An understanding of Aboriginal Health (desirable)
