The opportunity
This newly created position will ideally suit someone who has the vision and passion to improve the quality of life for individuals living with Dementia.
This role is pivotal to the implementation of Anglicare Southern Queensland's "Specialist Dementia Care Program" (SDCP) Model of Care by overseeing initiatives across our Residential sites. You will coordinate and manage associate projects that aim to support both the individual as well as their families and representatives.
You will work in collaboration with the Practice Development team providing workforce support. The Clinical Lead SDCP will be responsible for overseeing any new SDCP units and implementing the SDCP model of care into identified/funded homes. This role is hands on and will require you to provide continued support and coaching to Anglicare's SDCP units and mainstream dementia support units. This will require some travel to our Residential sites across Southeast Queensland.
Role requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Current National Police Certificate
- Covid Vaccination evidence
- Post graduate qualifications in a related field, e.g. Gerontology, Mental Health or Dementia
- Previous Project development experience
- Experience working at a senior level within a Dementia specific environment (highly regarded)
