About your new role:
Working with the Care team, you’ll work to provide outstanding care to residents in your service, advocating individualised care that enhances and promotes their quality of life.
Overseeing a team of care staff, you’ll empower your team through learning, support, and leadership in order to advance the level of service to your residents. In conjunction with your Residential Service Manager, you’ll ensure care governance and quality compliance are achieved through robust processes that meet internal and external auditing standards.
You’ll ensure the sustainability and growth of the service through your diligence with AN-ACC funding, care planning, and community engagement. You’ll plan and implement care initiatives centred on quality improvements, driving positive changes within your services.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
- Previous experience at a senior clinical care level working in aged care
- Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills
- Sound understanding of care assessment in the Aged Care Sector and use of the ACFI
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Sound understanding of relevant legislation and experience in meeting Australian Aged Care Quality Standards and Outcomes
- Demonstrated understanding of the person-centred approach in aged care and a commitment to providing a customer centric approach
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a wide range of IT applications
- Experience working at advanced skill level in the field of geriatric medicine, chronic disease management, palliative care, dementia care, or another field relevant to the care persons over the age of 65
- An ability to understand financial management principles and interpret financial reports
- An understanding of contemporary Aged Care issues and opportunities
- Willingness to obtain or provide proof of Influenza & Covid-19 Vaccination
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical
