Part-time Clinical Manager position available at Stretton Park, offering 40 hours per fortnight.

CGH delivers acute care through an integrated service model across Wellington Shire and beyond, with facilities in Sale, Maffra, and Heyfield. Our acute services include a full-time emergency department, critical care and neonatal units, three operating theatres, a day procedure unit, oncology, dialysis, and various general medical and sub-acute services, including rehabilitation.

As a prominent teaching hospital affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health, CGH provides valuable placements and clinical experience for students.

About the Department

Stretton Park is a not-for-profit, community-owned facility offering residential aged care and respite care within the Maffra community. With 46 Residential Care beds and 18 Independent Living Units, we provide comprehensive care and services, including nursing, personal care, lifestyle and leisure activities, food services, environmental maintenance, laundry, and administration, all within a supportive team environment. We are committed to delivering high-quality care to all clients.

Stretton Park maintains a formal relationship with CGHS through a management agreement, receiving strategic, financial, and corporate support. Central Gippsland Health Service is the primary provider of health and residential aged care services in Wellington Shire, covering nearly the entire municipality except for Yarram and district.

About the Role

The Clinical Manager will provide clinical leadership, oversight, and advice while supervising and monitoring Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs).

Duties:

  • Assess new residents and develop individual care plans in collaboration with clinical and lifestyle staff, medical, and allied health professionals, ensuring thorough documentation.
  • Investigate and report all clinical incidents to the HSM, implementing strategies to address identified issues.
  • Oversee the revision of funding documentation and care plans, ensuring timely reviews and submissions.
  • Manage client and relative consultations, addressing compliments, suggestions, and complaints.
  • Ensure staff possess adequate knowledge, experience, and education to meet client care needs.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with current Australian Nursing Registration with AHPRA.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Aged Care Act, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Aged Care Funding are desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to manage and motivate staff.
  • Ability to demonstrate CGHS core leadership capabilities at the front-line manager level.
