Education and Learning are seeking highly motivated, confident, organised, supportive, friendly leader's to join our team in the position of Clinical Midwife Educator (CME).
In collaboration with the Maternity Services leadership team and Centre for Education and Learning team, the Clinical Midwife Educators will ensure that services provided are focussed on respecting the rights, needs and expectations of patients and their family.
Permanent (0.6FTE) and temporary (2 x 12 months at 0.6FTE and 0.8FTE) positions are available, working within a team of Clinical Midwifery Educators as a valued member of the Centre for Education and Learning team. Positions are based at Sunshine Campus - Joan Kirner but educator's must be able to cover and support at Bacchus Marsh when required.
The successful applicant must be a Midwifery Educator who can utilise contemporary strategies, based on adult learning principles to effectively coordinate and facilitate educational activities within maternity service for all nursing/midwifery staff, transition to practice nurse/midwives and postgraduate and undergraduate nurse/midwifery students in the clinical setting.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills:
Essential
- Minimum of four years post midwifery registration experience with advanced clinical knowledge and skill across the pregnancy continuum
- Master’s qualification with an educational focus, or working towards one
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Possess highly developed interpersonal skills including conflict resolution strategies
- Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary, midwifery and education team
- Be innovative, resourceful and adaptable to change
- Have recent experience in Clinical Midwifery education and delivery of training
