Remuneration package of up to $128,435 p.a., comprising base salary range of $104,816 - $112,236 p.a. (NG6-1), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%).
Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $70,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).

About the roleThe purpose of this role is to provide primary midwifery care as part of a low-risk model, in collaboration with other health care providers, across the continuum of pregnancy, labour, birth and the post-partum period. Care to be provided within the Ingham Health Service and in the community. The midwife will provide clinical expertise, support and education to woman and their families and staff within the facility to ensure the provision of best practice and quality woman centred care.
Ingham Health Service provides an integrated service encompassing a range of community-based services, provision of Allied Health services and traditional hospital-based services of an Inpatient ward, an Emergency Department, a limited range of surgical procedures and a range of support services including
X-ray, Pharmacy, Administration and Operational Services.
Role requirements
- Bachelor of Midwifery/Diploma of Midwifery or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
- Appointees will be required to work on call and will benefit from an annualised salary. Appointees will be required to work under the Midwifery Model of Care – Continuity of care caseload model, working within the local agreement as per Nursing and Midwifery Award which includes an annualised salary with 35% loading and six (6) weeks recreation leave.
