This role provides advanced midwifery assessment, diagnosis, care and intervention to pregnant people and
families within the scope of practice of an Endorsed Midwife. The occupant of this position is required to demonstrate a positive commitment to modelling our organisational values, safety and quality improvement and the Code of Conduct in all aspects of their employment. To be successful, you will have...
- Eligibility for registration in the category of Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Holds an endorsement for scheduled medicines for Midwives with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical experience, knowledge and leadership in midwifery care across the continuum.
- Well-developed clinical problem solving skills including conceptual and analytical ability.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislative and health regulating Acts including legislative obligations relating to midwifery practice.
- Experience in quality improvement, its practical application in family centred care and its relationship to strategic development.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use information systems.

Area Profile
WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS. The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office.
