Job description

This is an “Open-Ended” Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

We have immediate opportunity for multiple appointments.

For an “open-ended” recruitment pool, the following should be noted: 

  • The Panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis;
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur; and
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2024.

About this role

This position, under the direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse(s), practices as a Clinical Nurse in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board registration Standards and Nursing Practice decision making flowchart; provides advanced, comprehensive, and evidence-based nursing care to patients and their families, as part of a multi-disciplinary team; upholds and functions within the core values of the organisation of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork, and Integrity; acts as a role model, providing leadership, support, team building and change management through respect, recognition, and collaboration.

This role reports to the Clinical Midwife Manager.

Area Profile 

WNHS offers a maternity and gynaecology unit at Osborne Park Hospital (OPH) which provides gynaecology care and obstetric care to women with low to moderate risk pregnancies. Women may choose to receive care at OPH for general convenience whilst receiving equally specialised care at a smaller suburban site. WNHS are also establishing a Neonatal Unit at OPH.
