Advertising Closes: 22 April 2024What you'll be doingTo provide expert clinical consultancy and services within Tuberculosis Prevention and care, practicing within the CNC / CMC Domains, up to and including the functions of the CNC / CMC 3 role, and to demonstrate leadership in promoting contemporary nursing across the North Coast, covering the Mid North Coast and Northern NSW LHD’s.
- Develops implements and evaluates care management plans for patients with complex health needs
- Provides leadership in the ongoing development of clinical practice
- Initiates and utilises findings of research in the provision of clinical services.
- Contributes to the development and delivery of specialty related education programs
- Participates in formal processes for the strategic and operational planning for the Tuberculosis service.
- Responsible for coordination of TB Services across MNC and NNSW LHD
- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and 7 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 5 years full time equivalent experience in tuberculosis nursing.
- Holds approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to tuberculosis or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate and a current NSW drivers licence.
- Extensive understanding of tuberculosis and the current management.
- Extensive knowledge of good clinical practice, policies and procedure.
- Proven ability to consult, review, and develop, both new and existing policies and procedures within the tuberculosis.
- Computer skills including word processing, presentation, spread sheet applications and clinical information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
