As the national provider for Paediatric Cardiac Transplantation and the national leader in Paediatric VAD services, we are looking for experienced nurses to work within a team providing expert comprehensive clinical consultation to our paediatric and adolescent patients.As the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC), you will incorporate the entire spectrum of Heart Failure; including but not limited to work up, development of individual protocols, national activation, national level transplant coordination and surgical consultation for VAD implant. You will also lead staff and family education, as well as post-transplant management and patient transition to adult services.Your skills and experience:
- A current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Paediatric cardiac/acute ICU nursing experience, preferably five years or more
- Clinical experience and knowledge of paediatric cardiac transplant nursing and VAD nursing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
- The ability to demonstrate flexibility to changing priorities and environment
- Well-developed management and leadership skills
- A relevant Post Graduate qualification (or working towards)
