The Role
The Clinical Nurse Consultant continues the work of the Tasmanian Eliminate Hepatitis C Australian Outreach (TEHCAO) Project with the aim to eliminate Hepatitis C and continue to offer Hepatitis and Blood Borne Virus screening, treatment uptake and cure of people living with hepatitis C in priority populations across Tasmania.
You'll be working closely with Hospitals South, Public Health Services (PHS), and other key stakeholders in primary care and community sectors to improve services and service access for people living with hepatitis C. Opportunity to contribute to established clinical policy, care guidelines, quality improvement and research in accordance with contemporary best practice as required.
Details of Appointment
Permanent, part time day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing April 2024

Salary
$111,506 - 118,336 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type.
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
- Current Driver’s Licence
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse
- Relevant experience working with people infected and affected by hepatitis C.
- Experience working closely with medical specialists, GP’s and primary care providers.
- Experience in project management.

- Intra-state travel
- Extensive intra-state travel and provision of outreach services required.
