Clinical Nurse Consultant (Mental Health and Statewide Services) (515675)

The role:

As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality Mental Health services in accordance with the primary health care principles, Agency policy and direction, legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies, the Clinical Nurse Consultant will:

• Actively contribute to the clinical leadership and management of a multidisciplinary inpatient Mental Health team, providing a high quality, comprehensive, specialist Mental Health service in accordance with principles and goals, and the associated model of care and relevant service policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Support the relevant NUM/ADON by assuming a lead role in the oversight of designated clinical processes associated with the optimal operation of an inpatient Mental Health team, including intake, crisis response, interim support, case management and general team coordination.
• Provide clinical leadership and expert knowledge in all aspects of inpatient care.
• Actively participate in all multidisciplinary review processes at the unit level as required, including supporting staff to develop, monitor and evaluate clinical outcome measures.
• Act as an Authorised Officer under the Mental Health Act when required.

• Millbrook Rise Centre is a 27-bed facility which includes the only statewide civil secure unit, we are a consumer-focused service with a focus on rehabilitation and recovery located in the beautiful Derwent Valley.
• New Norfolk is a picturesque 35-minute drive up the river Derwent from Hobart with free parking on site. The Derwent Valley is the gateway to some of Tasmania's sought after experiences such as wineries, beautiful waterfalls, ski fields and the popular Maydena Mountain Bike Park.
• Be part of a collaborative team that works with our consumers, their friends and families in their individualised recovery journey. We have a constantly developing activities program and we welcome new staff and new ideas to contribute to the activities program at the site.

Details of Appointment

Permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 22nd June 2024.

Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

1. Holds, or is working towards, a relevant postgraduate qualification
2. Current Driver’s Licence
