The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.
The CNC Grade 1 Oncology/Palliative Care is an expert nursing practitioner and supports the educational and professional development of community nursing and allied health staff, patients, carers and families. In particular, one of the role’s core functions is to support the community nursing staff in the provision of safe, effective, appropriate evidence-based oncology and Palliative Care, enhancing and extending their knowledge and skill base through the provision of expert assessment, consultancy, care planning and education.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- A Registered Nurse who has a minimum of 5 years full time post graduate experience.The applicant must have an approved post graduate qualification and/or substantial recent relevant experience in Oncology Palliative Care nursing. Applicant must hold a current NSW Drivers Licence.
- Demonstrated experience with research activities, developing and implementing education programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to critically think, prioritise competing demands, make decisions independently but also work effectively as team member.
