The role of the Trauma Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) at Dubbo is to coordinate the multidisciplinary approach to trauma care in addition to actively participating in patient safety tasks (file review, data collection, clinical audits), quality improvement and research activities relevant to the role.Dubbo Health Service (DHS) is a 180-bed rural referral service, 450kms Northwest of Sydney in the Western New South Wales Local Health District (WNSWLHD). The service is the base hospital for 24 peripheral sites in the northern sector of the WNSWLHD. Trauma presentations to Dubbo Health Service are complex due to the distance.
