Who we are
We are a 100-bed residential aged care facility located at Stawell, Victoria, on the edge of the world-famous tourist area of the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park, which is renowned for its awe-inspiring mountain ranges, stunning hiking trails, spectacular waterfalls, and cafe and wine cellar culture. And we're just 2.5 hours' drive from Melbourne too!
The person we need
This is a hands-on role, requiring an exceptional candidate that can lead, coach, and inspire others through practical on the job training. You will educate a team of clinical workers, while being able to identify and meet the nursing education needs.
You will play a big part in ensuring our residents receive quality care from an upskilled workforce. Our ideal candidate will have vast clinical experience and tertiary qualifications in education and training; be a proven ‘people-person’ with a relaxed but focused nature; and have a leadership style that brings others along for the journey.
What you'll need to have
- Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Current Certificate as a Workplace Trainer and Assessor (currently Certificate IV), or willingness to work towards certification
- Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, advanced computer skills and use of software programs to develop and deliver education.
- Qualifications in Infection Prevention and Control are desirable.
- Experience in leading and driving change.
