The Clinical Nurse (Emergency Department) Role
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse to provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management to patients/clients in the Emergency Department.
The Clinical Nurse role at this level continues to be predominantly clinical in nature, however, nurses are assigned appropriate portfolios. The allocation of portfolio responsibilities should be negotiated with each employee and be consistent with the career development plan for the employee as determined by their performance review/development plan.
Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
Must have experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses.
The Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service provides acute services ranging from in-hospital care for adults and children by medical officers including outpatients. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community. We also provide specific facilities and staff for Aboriginal patients.
This is a multiple positions part time vacancy, hours to be negotiated and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
