The Opportunity
Exciting opportunities exist within The Women’s and Babies Division to join us as a Clinical Midwife (Education portfolio)
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide specific support to the Midwife Unit Manager (MUM) in achieving quality patient care.
- Undertake Clinical Education and facilitate learning opportunities for unit/ward staff.
- Demonstrate developing leadership, coordination, and management skills.
- Support a multidisciplinary team approach to care and education.
- Guide and develop less experienced staff.
- Foster collaboration among nurses/midwives and other health professionals.
- Work in partnership with women, their families, and other agencies for optimum health outcomes.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years post-graduation experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife
- Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and meet set timelines whilst working under minimal supervision.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines.
- Experience in management and leadership roles.
