If so, we would love you to join out team.. We are seeking a Level 2 Lactation Consultant on a part time basis, 18 hours a week to support out patients on our Maternity Ward. About Us: Established in 2016 Gold Coast Private Hospital is a 339 bed, 22 operating theatre facility located in Southport, the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct. Specialities include and are not limited to: 24/7 Emergency Care Centre, Medical, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Neurosurgical, Plastics, ENT & General Surgical, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert lactation consultation and support to new mothers during their hospital stay.Conduct thorough assessments to identify breastfeeding challenges and develop individualized care plans.Offer education and guidance on breastfeeding techniques, positioning, and infant feeding cues.Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for mother-infant.Educate and empower nursing staff and other healthcare professionals on evidence-based breastfeeding practices.Maintain accurate documentation of lactation consultations and outcomes.Qualifications: Certified Lactation ConsultantBachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in lactation consultation within a hospital setting.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with diverse teams.Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on current practices in lactation support.Why Healthscope?When you join Healthscope, you become part of our Community of Care.
