Job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Manager to join our Cancer Services Team in the beautiful Great Southern Region of Western Australia!
This position is located at the Albany Health Campus. Albany is the largest city of the Great Southern Region of Western Australia, located 418 km from Perth.

The Great Southern regional health service is part of WA Country Health Service (WACHS) and is the largest country health system in Australia, and one of the biggest health systems in the world. WACHS provides health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. About the OPPORTUNITY
In this role you will be responsible for the provision of high quality and consumer focused nursing using a wide range of nursing skills to care for a variety of patients as part of a supportive and passionate multidisciplinary team.
The Cancer Services team prioritises professional learning and growth to help build and maintain specialty specific oncology and palliative care skills in the pursuit of excellent patient care.
A rewarding and interesting role where you will:
  • Lead and manage a multifaceted multidisciplinary service.
  • Provide advanced, complex cancer patient care and local resource management as well as expert consultancy and guidance both within and external to the hospital.
  • Analyse the research to determine clinical and management best practice; in consultation initiate, implement and evaluate best practice activities that support the delivery of appropriate cancer clinical care and management within and external to the hospital.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Advanced clinical and professional knowledge and experience relevant to the area of Oncology Haematology.
  • Advanced communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership consistent with organisational values.
