We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead and develop the clinical team and to manage and coordinate the delivery of high quality care for all residents at Bethanie Subiaco (111 bed facility), centrally located in Jolimont.
Working closely with your peers you will play a key leadership role in driving the customer experience across our Bethanie Subiaco site. You will have many layers of support but also the autonomy to make the role your own.
This role is currently being offered on a permanent full-time basis, working Monday – Friday 8am - 4pm/ 9am – 5pm and may require an element of on call requirements to be negotiated.
About the role:
- Provide leadership for the clinical team in collaboration with the Facility Manager
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical care to residents, which is client directed and in accordance with the Aged Care Standards
- Relieve the Facility Manager as required, including on–call and scheduled leave
- Assess competency of all clinical staff on an ongoing basis (including performance appraisals) and implement the necessary training and mentoring where necessary
- Establish professional relationships with all new and existing customers and their families to ensure the clinical team provide customer directed care
- Conduct/participate in customer reviews, meetings and clinical incident reviews
- Mentor the clinical team to ensure they develop high-quality clinical practice and maintain good communication channels with customers and their families
- Work in conjunction with the Clinical Governance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical services that are in line with the Accreditation Standards and develop action plans to meet identified areas of improvement
- Report, analyse, review and implement quality improvement strategies
About you:
You’re an experienced clinical leader with a desire to develop your team to be the best they can be. You genuinely care about your team and customers and enriching the ageing experience.
Additional requirements:
- Current and unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
- Previous management experience within a clinical setting with relevant experience in the Aged Care environment would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated leadership of a multi-skilled team, with ability to motivate and inspire others
- Excellent customer service skills, with a customer focused approach
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders both within and external to the organisation
- Willingness to obtain National Police Clearance
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations 3x Covid and annual flu vaccination
