Job description
An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse - Mental Health Rosella Unit to conduct assessments and provide treatment for young people (and their carer networks) with severe and complex Mental Health problems as part of the multi-disciplinary team. The Clinical Nurse is a leadership role within the nursing team and is responsible and accountable for the direct delivery of safe, quality and clinically effective nursing care at an advanced level in the specialised area of child and youth Mental Health.
This position sits within the Rosella Unit as part of the broader Mental Health and Specialised Services. This purpose-built 6 bed Adolescent Mental Health Unit delivers safe and responsive Mental Health care that effectively supports and enhances the Mental Health and wellbeing of young people aged between 13-18 years of age.
Key responsibilites include:
* Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
* Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
* Actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour.
Remuneration value up to $128 057 p.a., comprising salary between $104 816 - $112 236 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NRG6 (1)).
