The Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs (MHAOD) Hub at Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department promotes specialised short-term care for patients who present to SH ED requiring clinical and social support for high prevalence, low acuity mental health and substance use disorders. This service currently has exciting opportunities for skilled individuals to become part of the team and help drive the delivery of superior clinical care for these cohorts in the West.
The Position
As the AOD CNC Team Leader your responsibilities will include:
- Providing operational and clinical leadership for this valuable service as well as direct clinical care to patients within the MHAOD Hub;
- Supporting team members to deliver high quality, innovative and evidence-based interventions;
- Leading quality and practice improvement initiatives locally as well as organisation wide; and
- Developing and executing the agreed vision and strategy for the team.
About You
As an experienced leader and senior Clinical Nurse, you will have:
- Relevant acute clinical experience;
- Relevant post graduate clinical and/or leadership qualifications;
- A passion for providing safe and modern care to clients with substance use disorders; and
- A desire for continuous quality and clinical improvement.
