Tell me more...The Clinical Nurse demonstrates clinical leadership and management qualities in the provision of quality, cost effective, patient centred nursing care in consultation with other members of the primary health care (PHC) team and in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia's National competency standards for the registered nurse. They provide best practise nursing care in the assessment and treatment of patients to promote, maintain and improve their health, functional ability and quality of life.

To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation including Health and Hospitals Network Act, Workplace Health and Safety Act, and Equal Employment Opportunity Legislation and other relevant legislation.
Demonstrate knowledge and practice in the application of evidenced based clinical management, diagnostic investigation and pharmacological management of patients in TCHHS.
High level of communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with hospital and community health providers within the Torres Cape Hospital and Health Service and beyond.
Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture.

Requirements for the role:
