Are you passionate about providing specialised care to newborns and their families? Are you a Clinical Nurse experienced working within Special Care Nursery and seeking an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of neonates and their families. If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Within this role you will be part of our team that provides a supportive and compassionate environment for expectant mothers and their newborns. The Special Care Nursery plays a crucial role in our mission, offering advanced medical care to premature infants and those with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to infants in the Special Care Nursery, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing procedures as needed.
- Confident in supporting and caring for babies from 32 weeks
- Experience with CPAP, Nasogastric Feeding and Neonatal Ventilation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each infant.
- Educate and support families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and strategies for promoting infant development.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse/Midwife
- Post Grad Qualification - Neonate Intensive Care
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in neonatal nursing or a related specialty.
- Current certification in ALS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and family-centered care to infants and their families.
