About this role
The newly created North Metropolitan Eating Disorders Specialist Service (NMEDSS) has been funded to provide a range of community-based eating disorder treatment programs, including: a comprehensive day program, a specialist multi-disciplinary outpatient service, intensive clinical monitoring and care transition coordination between services. To ensure we are delivering evidence-based treatment within a continuum of care model, our service links closely with other service providers, primary health care providers and tertiary settings.
As part of a specialist multi-disciplinary team, the Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for conducting primary triage assessments both via telephone and outreach visits, providing case coordination, education and mental health intervention including crisis and risk assessments, for people aged 16 years and over diagnosed with an eating disorder within the community.
