Clinical Nurse Specialist - Community Spinal Nurse

The role:Within a Primary Health Care Framework, Agency policies, legal requirements, and professional competencies the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Spinal Cord Injury (South) will:

• Provides advanced clinical leadership and expertise in the provision of clinical advice, assessment and interventions based on best practice in the health care management of adult people with spinal cord injury. Along with the development and implementation of associated standards of practice, models of care, relevant service policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Initiates and maintains a comprehensive care network with providers in primary health and acute care settings, including community service providers, General Practitioners, Specialists, and other health care providers to support the care needs of adult people with SCI (traumatic and non-traumatic).
• Provides advanced clinical expertise and leadership within the specialty of Spinal Cord Injury to meet statutory, policy and regulatory requirements related to safety and quality including the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards

Details of AppointmentPermanent, part time, day worker position working 70 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $111,506 to $118,336 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

• Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
• Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum
• Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility:Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse * Current C Class Driver LicenceApplicants should note the following criteria are desirable:Relevant postgraduate qualifications or working towards the same.Experience and knowledge working with spinal cord injury and complex disability populations.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted: * Conviction checks in the following areas:

• sex related offences
• serious drug offences
• crimes involving dishonesty
• Identification check
• Disciplinary action in previous employment check.
