We are currently seeking a Full Time/ Part Time

Clinical Nurse Specialist and Clinical Midwife Specialist for our Birthing Suite and Maternity Ward

The Maternity Unit is a brand-new facility includes 4 birthing suites, 26 bed maternity ward and 4 cot special care nursery.

Are you a Clinical Professional seeking a rewarding career? The George Centre is looking for suitably qualified Clinical Nurse Specialist and a Clinical Midwife Specialist to join our team.

As the Clinical Nurse Specialist/Clinical Midwife Specialist your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver quality-nursing care by Assessing, Planning, Implementing, and evaluating individual patient care.
• Provide a standard of care according to the individuals level of experience and education maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment.
• Develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.
• Work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care promoting beneficial relationships.

Selection Criteria: 

• Current Registration with AHPRA - Neonatal Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years working in a Special Care Nursery environment.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality patient care.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and customer service skills

Requirements

• Strong organisational skills.
• Demonstrated risk management and WHS
• Ability to review and implement continuous improvement programs.
• Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster.

Other Requirements

• National Police Check
• Working with Children Check
• Proof of Immunisation against specified Infectious Diseases, including COVID-19
