About this role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist – Mental Health coordinates clinical activity within their unit. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, they ensure delivery of safe, quality patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
The CNS works Monday-Friday in an allocated ward at Graylands Hospital situated in Mount Claremont. As part of the leadership team your responsibilities include:
- ensuring evidence-based practices are utilised in support of safe, quality care.
- ensuring risk management processes are employed in care planning and patients reviews
- undertaking investigations
- monitoring compliance with reporting management systems
- providing professional development support to staff
- the provision of a safe working environment
This role reports to the Nurse Manager – Mental Health and provides clinical supervision to Clinical Nurses, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing.
