An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Mental Health team in the Gascoyne Region – Midwest.
To be successful, you will have...
- Experience in assessment, case management and therapy of children, adolescents and their families presenting with Mental Health problems at an advanced level.
- Knowledge and understanding of emotional, behavioural, psychological, and psychiatric disorders of children and Adolescents.
- Effective communication, liaison, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective negotiation, problem solving, analytical and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience in community work and liaison.
- Sound knowledge of WA Mental Health Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
- Eligible for / or in possession of a current C or C-A Class drivers’ licence or other specialised licence class.
Position Profile:
Provide a community-based Child and AdolescentMental Health nursing service. Demonstrate competent nursing practice by delivering individualised care using a problem-solving approach to children, adolescents with Mental Health problems and their families.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).
