Position Profile: This position is responsible for providing an effective clinical function in collaboration with the Armadale Kalamunda Group (AKG) Mental Health Consultation and Liaison Team.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health Liaison:
- Provides clinical Mental Health nursing consultancy to the AKG. Conducts comprehensive Mental Health, substance use, and risk assessments for patients of AKG requiring specialised Mental Health assessment;
- Advises and assists AKG clinicians with management and referral of such patients, and provides information and support to patients, carers and relevant others;
- Collates and maintains Mental Health related information and resource material and contributes to staff education and skill development in co – morbid substance use and Mental Health across AKG.
Areas of accountability will include the provision of leadership, clinical standard setting and monitoring, policy development and change management.
