About the Role
The Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Team provides leadership and support for Patient Safety and Quality at an organisational level, through incident monitoring, review, advice and training, to support best practice and shared learning. This team will have strong links with Directorate based Safety and Quality Units.
The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the specialty of Clinical Governance. The Clinical Nurse/Midwifery Consultant (CNC/CMC) provides expertise and leadership in collaboration with key stakeholders internal and external to MSH. This role provides leadership to support a culture of Safety and Quality Improvement across MSH.
The CNC/CMC Patient Safety and Quality Improvement will provide:
Leadership in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Patient Safety and Quality programs and;
Clinical expertise in clinical incident analysis using systematic analysis to drive improved Patient Safety.
