About Currumbin Clinic:
Currumbin Clinic is a 104-bed private mental health hospital located on the Southern Gold Coast, delivering high quality care and positive patient outcomes. We have a team of dedicated Psychiatrists, Medical, Nursing, Allied and Administrative staff who provide expert care in the management and treatment of all acute mental health disorders.
Qualifications:
- Registration with Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (Mandatory)
- Completion of or working towards tertiary qualifications specific to mental health (Desirable)
- Required Personal Competencies:
- Three (3) years mental health experience.
- Awareness and practice of legislation affecting nursing practice and health care.
- Strong focus on patient centered, evidence-based nursing care.
- Able to conduct a comprehensive and systematic nursing assessment.
- Demonstrated high standards of professional and ethical practice.
- Excellent collaboration and consultation skills with individuals, groups, significant others and the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Focus on service improvement and ongoing professional development for delivery of excellent patient care and positive health outcomes.
- Promotes safety, security and personal integrity in the workplace.
Desirable personal competencies
- Experience and an understanding of alcohol and other drugs detoxification principles.
Pre-Employment Screening:
- To ensure the quality and safety for our patients, staff and visitors, applicants will be required to provide before commencement a National Police Check. It is also mandatory by Queensland Health that all employees in the Private Health sector are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of double vaccination is a requirement to work in healthcare.
- You will also be required to provide current serology for vaccinations including Hep B, Dtpa, MMR and varicella.
- A current police check (dated within the last three months)
