GI cancers affect the oesophagus, stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, bowel, rectum and anus. Collectively these cancers are the most common form of cancer in Australia, affecting over 34,291 Australians each year and claiming a devastating 38 lives each day. AGITG research has led to improvements in both the life expectancy and quality of life of people diagnosed with GI cancer.
This is the perfect opportunity to partake in the Group’s continued growth. You will be leading the Clinical Operations and implementation processes including providing sponsor oversight to achieve key milestones and the operational success of clinical study timelines, whilst supporting the coaching and mentorship of a Clinical Trial Assistant.
Working alongside the Clinical Development Lead, this new role will be held by a strong operational leader responsible for the timely conduct and delivery of investigator-led trials coordinated in-house, whilst maintaining sponsor oversight of trials coordinated by academic and commercial coordinating centres.
So ideally, we are looking for you to bring:
- Experience as a Project Manager from either an academic setting or CRO/Pharma and working on Investigator Led research;
- Experience in developing high-quality project plans, supporting protocols and publication development and operational guidelines.
- Ability to hit the ground running and perform as a sponsor with confidence in managing negotiations with complex stakeholders;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with experience managing competing priorities and working in a fast-paced environment.
