Annual salary: $70,000 to $75,0000 plus super

About the Role

The Event Coordinator role supports the Corporate Hospitality team to ensure the management and delivery of live events.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Event Manager to manage a portfolio of events; planning and delivering of all aspects of the event life cycle including project management, all event operations, program implementation, onsite management, and post event reconciliation.
  • Operate with a passion for events and in-depth understanding of how events engagement bolsters brand, drives business strategy, supports business objectives, and aligns with the overall marketing and communications strategy of the organisation.
  • Deliver assigned events on time, within budget, that meet internal/external expectations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, venues, suppliers and nurture these relationships.
  • Manage delivery of targeted external collateral and merchandise for online and offline platforms in-house and through external agencies (including brochures, workbooks, presentation decks, and website), working closely with the Sales Team.
  • Assist in all pre-event preparation, planning, and operations, and logistics.
  • Assists in the recruitment of casual staff for events and management of onsite staff at events.
  • Support Event Manager through bump in and bump out and to run events on site.
  • Assists with client communications on a day-to-day basis.
  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with internal and external stakeholders

 About the Person

  • 2-3 years’ experience in the live event industry
  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma in Event Management required 
  • Demonstrated exceptional project management, organization and planning skills applied in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Self-starter that takes initiative and prioritises
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Highly goal-oriented with a strong focus on delivery; structured, organised and focused
  • Experience in servicing brands and understanding how they operate and their partnering expectations
  • Possess the intellect, cultural competency, and flexibility to work effectively in a collaborative, values-driven and energetic team
  • High level of integrity
