Royal North Shore HospitalWhat you'll be doingPerforming motility studies.Clinical Physiologists are responsible for performing and interpreting oesophageal and anorectal manometry and ensuring that referred patients receive safe and optimal care by performing all diagnostic testing procedures in accordance with established Protocols and Guidelines. Manometry procedures are complex and require a high degree of skill both in the practical and safe insertion of the recording catheters, and in the analysis and interpretation of the detailed physiological data obtained. These tests are essential for the management of patients with gastrointestinal symptoms, namely swallowing and defecatory disorders.
